Mini Diva

This diva drives a mini - a Cooper Mini Clubman.

Our new home has a two car garage - but a very tight fit.  It was necessary for us to trade one of our bigger cars in and buy something smaller.  I don't usually get too excited about a car.  My husband has always been the one to research a new car for us.  The Cooper Mini was my choice.  The model I chose is a little longer than the Mini Cooper.  It has a third door making access to the backseat easier.  I needed something with a big enough area in the back to accommodate the shipping tubes I use for my artwork.  I love it!

Crazy for Spoonbills...

I had the incredible good fortune to join a new friend, Diana Calleja,  at the Little Estero Lagoon.  A variety of birds were around at the crack of dawn.

I took a gazillion photos.  These are the few that turned out well.

Curcuma Ginger

This delightful plant is growing in my side garden.  My friend, Kristy, told me what it was.

Going, going, gone...

On my beach walk this morning, I came upon a sea turtle who was returning the bay.  She must have gotten a late start - it was almost 6:15AM.  At first, she looked like a big rock, but when I saw her move I knew what was before me.  It's been years since I've seen a sea turtle on the beach.  Usually I just see their tracks.  She moved quite quickly - much faster than I would have thought.  I probably startled her!

Since it was quite dark, these photos - taken with my I-phone - are quite grainy.

Beach Finds...

I came across this catamaran on my weekly beach walk.  I'd love to borrow it and take it for a ride - except I have no idea how to operate such a thing!  I remember years ago when Richard and I first started dating, we went to Mexico for vacation and rented one.  We did not know how to turn it around.  Luckily,  Jose who rented the catamaran to us was keeping an eye on us (more likely the catamaran) and guided us back to shore.  It was fun - at least we thought so.  I don't know how Jose felt about it.

Back in the Studio Again...

We moved into our new home 3 weeks ago.  It's been a very busy time - my studio is nearly finished - new tile floor, walls painted, electrical outlets added, new lighting, shelving.  It's time to open the myriad of boxes piled up in the garage and put things away.  The challenge is where to put it all!
