Something New from Something Old...

Even though I have tons of unpainted canvases lying about - lately I find myself painting over older works - texture for free!

Having fun creating texture with oil paint sticks - using my fingers as "brushes".  It's messy, but someone has got to do it!

The Joke's on Me!

Have you ever taken a selfie with your phone and wondered who in the heck is that?!  My selfies are always terrible - I need longer arms.  The face gets distorted - well, you know how it goes.

I decided to go big and bold and paint my selfie - the joke IS on me!

I finished this piece yesterday.  A friend of mine thought the figure looked pensive - thus the title!

Pull Up a Chair...WIP

My oil paints were calling my name.  I took a few selfies...I decided to gesso over an existing painting and create a new work.

Machine stitching now complete - time to start the handwork.  Extremely time consuming and a mindless activity.  I like to watch movies when I'm doing the handwork.
