I attended a DPI-SIG women's workshop last week. Christina Skibicki gave a talk on how she edits/alters some of her photos. She also demonstrated how she made reflections of birds in water.

My method is a little different from Christina's, but generally the same.

Beautiful photo! Love the touch of reflection.
I wouldn't open it either. Beautiful composite, I love the added touch of the butterfly.
I like the gold seal on it.
happy valentine's day ... I know what you mean about not opening that beautiful package! beautiful digital art ...
I wouldn't be able to open it either I bet it smells gorgeous.
Very pretty but sometimes, it is fun to enjoy the whole package.
I can't open little soaps that look good and smell good, like to keep them so they can continue to delight. I really like your digital art, especially the little reflection.
Oh, how I love fragrant soaps!
Beautiful picture! I like your work really much! I use 'Gimp' but I understand the procedure a little bit! Thank you for sharing this!
Have a nice weekend!
I too love to save and savor those beautiful bars of soap....They make the bathroom smell heavenly......Thanks for the editing tips....
It's a beautiful packaging, I would not open it too if that's mine.
Looks like it will be lovely soap to bathe with… enjoy:-)
I can smell the soap from here! beautiful post! I wouldn't open it either!
Thanks for the tutorial :) I wouldn't be able to use the soap, either. I'd but it in my underwear drawer and let the smell go through my clothes then I enjoy it vicariously.
So pretty.
I have one in my bathroom I got at Christmas. I keep it wrapped with just a tiny opening to allow the scent to escape. Nice shot.
Very creative photo editing ~ Happy Valentine's Day late ~

Lovely soap is a treasure. A simple pleasure well worth the effort and money spent.
There are two local ladies that make soap out of goat's milk and sheep milk. I often send it to family or friends as a gift. Everyone who has received it loves the soap, fragrance and beautiful shapes they ladies make.
Mmm, I can almost smell that soap! I just bought some rose-scented soap and I'm loving it.
Beautiful processing. I love the way you created the reflection.
I have soap like that! Mine has a pretty autumn wrapper! Yours is gorgeous!
