Vintage spools of thread and buttons too. The shelves in the haberdasher's shop in Sherbrooke Village, Nova Scotia were filled with sewing memorabilia.
A stitched brush added a nice "frame" to the photo.

Love the shot of these vintage threads, and the processing is just perfect!
I don't know why I have a soft spot for thread when I don't sew, but there is something about it! This is a lovely photo!
Awesome post and edit! Great texture for the thread.
Love wooden spools. Beautiful shot.
This is fabulous Pat. I love the stitching around the image. You always come up with such fabulous ideas!

Such quaint, cute spools and I love the colors. xo
I too liked the stitched frame around the photo.
Isobel seems to be a popular texture this week!
Who knew spools of thread could be so artfully interesting! The shot has a great vintage feel to it.
Visiting from Texture Tuesday.
The vintage theme is splendid, and texturing is just perfect!
Love the old wooden spools of thread. It reminds me of my mother's sewing and the old White treadle sewing machine we had.

Spools are fascinating, I don't know why, but they are!
Love your spools!

What a lovely warm feeling this image gives! Nice use of texture!
That is so awesome. lovely capture of spools and buttons. Historic items have way more character than the modern versions of mass produce at lowest cost.
Oh this is a beautiful shot and texture I collect these old spools of thread because they are so beautiful. B
