Ordinary Things

Sometimes I find it hard to find something to photograph.  I know that's silly.  I live in a beautiful part of the country and yet...I decided to take some pictures of ordinary things in my kitchen.

My collection of decorative teapots sits on the kitchen counter.  The texture was masked over the foreground teapot.

Handy utensils - texture over entire photo.

I haven't been getting the emails for a bit -- must check to see if it's going to the spam account. This is so bright and cheery -- I'm wild about teapots and collect as well. I've missed you! And visiting!

What a beautiful edit, Pat.
And I also love your sea-shells and gull shots in the precious post.

for me, Pat, the issue is NOT what to take, rather what to USE!!! I haven't been taking photos much and am learning to make use of the many I have and to little by slowly, often following tangents that appeal to me, try things out.

masking... that's still confusing to me. so mayBE you have inspired me too!!

by the way, I love the teapots!! I love how the texture plays into the JOYousness they clearly are!!

You've transformed the ordinary into some very creative and artistic pieces. The first is fun and colorful. The 2nd one is my favorite though. I just love the way the texture changed the utensils into something very artsy.

Love the colours. The pictures would be pretty framed in a kitchen.

I take my camera everywhere and I'll often think to myself...I already have a gazillion pictures of that! And yet, when I take another...it's a whole new world. Your kitchen pictures are awesome.
