Love old wood like this, though I suspect it's pretty rotty and if you were the homeowner you wouldn't be so happy!

Invokes lots of thoughts...how many folks have come through that door, and what adventures did they find? Visiting from Cool Clicks, here's my effort: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/01/as-rural-postal-carrier-i-come-upon.html

Love the quote to go with this interesting photo. There is something about an open door... You just want to go through to see what lies beyond the threshold. xx

Love this old door with its many coats of pain and splintering. Valerie

Great piece. I find it interesting that the door itself is so aged looking with the cracks and peeling paint and then the doorknob itself is so shiny.

Lovely old door. A very "quiet" feeling photo.

Beautifully composed and I love all the detail here. Makes one wonder who has crossed this threshold.

Love the details and textures... the knobs themselves are so smooth looking, I'd like to turn one...Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #67!

A door ajar to how many decades of history, dimly echoing about the inner regions. Very satisfying how the smoothness of the doorknob contrasts with the weathered wood of the door.
