I don't have a lot of expensive jewelry - mostly costume stuff - although I do have some beautiful gems my husband has presented me over time. It was all crammed in a small jewelry box on my dresser. I looked around to find something larger, but didn't have much luck. I thought I'd make my own...
I found a 4 drawer chest I liked. Added some wooden wheels as legs; primed, painted, collaged, stamped, etc. I lined the drawers with black velvet. It turned out nicely, don't you think?

Happy Pink Saturday and New Year. That is really creative, very artful and very Diva! Appropriately you! :) And I think, why can't I think of things like that!? Is your background the same paper as that on your chest? Or just similar? Very very nice. I think you'll enjoy it way more than otherwise purchased. Way to go! Jenn
and, wheels for legs. Still very impressed. Jenn

Thanks so much for sharing @ Inspire Me Fridays!!
Hello Pat, Your jewelry box makeover is the perfect white shabby chic we all love so much. It is a good size too.
Happy Pink Sat.
Hugs, Jeanne
It is a very beautiful piece! I love the color and the aged look. My jewelry box is a piece of furniture which is kind of silly considering most of my jewelry is costume jewelry too (my friend calls is "fashion jewelry" she says it is a nicer sounding term).
Oh marvellous stuff, such a good find that little chest in the first place, and then...lovely job, it looks great. I love the idea of the velvet lined drawers, makes such a special presentation for your treasures.
Love the colors of the box!
GORGEOUS!
I love, love, love it!
STUNNING! Just STUNNING!! love it, Hugs May x x x

Oh wow -- love this!!!! The colors are great!

Wow, what an awesome jewelry box!! Btw, you said to ask you next Friday ... how are those resolutions going? ;D
That's a beautiful jewelry box! Seeing that, I do believe now that the best satisfaction we can get out of a project is if we do that project ourselves, from planning to finishing it altogether. Where did you get your inspiration?

You really made a beautiful jewelry box. I wouldn't have thought to do that with a chest of drawers- you are very creative.
