This week's
Texture Tuesday challenge is to combine two of Kim Klassen's textures with any photo. I used Kim's textures: warm grunge and ugglove sepia. I took the picture while on vacation in Europe a few years ago. I wonder what is behind that blue door...

I think I like this edited image with nice textures better than the original one. Textures give it warmth and an illusion of a sunset light. I like it a lot.
This is a wonderful picture, the texture works so well on it. Now it has depth and sort of a mystical vibe, I could spend hours watching it and think about the stories hidden in this picture. Lovely.
Greetings from Switzerland, Alexandra
Fantastic shot Pat I have a slight(hem) obsession with doors and this shot is mysterious, warm but inviting.
that texture works so well on the door! It's a lovely shot Pat, I like the composition as well as the colours, so old and interesting.
Doorways are always mysterious. You want to see behind. You have taken the beautiful blue door and added some drama to it. Wonderful. V
Love the texture work you've done here . . . .it enhances the shot so much . . .lovely work. Teresa x
Great image. Love the textures, they make it so inviting.
Gorgeous shot! The textures add a sense that there is a story here -- it draws me in, and I wonder what is going on behind the door. The non-textured version is also nice, but it is just an interesting exercise in composition compared to the drama added by the textures. Beautifully done!
Pat, this was awesome!!
Love the colors and compostition.
Hope you have a blessed day♥
Ciao Pat!
The textures work so well on the beautiful blue door! It's really lovely!
Happy day!
It looks so inviting Pat! I like what you did with the textures... I know it says pearls and jewellery on the sign - do you know if that's what was there?
beautiful photo! Wonderful colors and composition. beautiful edit with textures..
A fabulous shot on it's own, but with the added textures it really stands out. Gives it a sense of timelessness.
Your Blue Door is a great shot on it's own but the textures you chose certainly enhance it. I love the 'Olde World' feeling you have captured.
This is so gorgeous Pat!

This is a terrific shot. The eye goes right to that bright blue door. The textures help make it mysterious.

Beautiful! Brings back fond memories of trips to Europe, too.
