My son-in-law, Warren, is an iron/glass worker. On my recent visit to Chicago, my daughter, granddaughters and I took an architectural tour on the Chicago River. We passed beneath Warren's building. Even though I couldn't see him from the boat, I took a photo and found him once I enlarged the photo. (The building was so tall, I couldn't get the whole thing in the photo from the boat with the lens I had with me.)
The guy is amazing - can you image working up so high?!
His building is the one behind the red crane

Ugh - I feel a little queasy looking at that. I have a terrible fear of heights. I do my best to bluff my way through it most of the time (when we used to take kids to San Francisco for field trips and did the Walk Across the Golden Gate - I would be running by the time I was half-way across, trying to fight back a panic attack. Ugh. Couldn't do that job, but thank goodness for people like Warren who do!
Thank you for joining us for Photo Friday again this week!
Wow...that would not be a job for me!
I can't stand looking at video shot from helicoptors; I can't imagine standing on the edge of a building that high, or worse, walking on a beam. People who can do that are amazing.
Yes, it is amazing that people can work in such high places! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
Wow - amazing!
I would totally croak. I get vertigo on a two-step stool!
I have been on several of these architectural tours down the Chicago River. Love the views and the history of the buildings. I would die of fright if I ever somehow found my self up on one of these buildings. I can't imagine having no fear doing this.
