2014 Travel Journal

Next month my husband and I are going to Budapest, Vienna and Prague.  This will be our  time in these cities.  I'm so excited.

I always make a travel journal for any trip I go on.  I decided to use a monochromatic color scheme - based on old book pages.

"Sonnet" texture courtesy of Kim Klassen.

Slide show of my process in creating the journal.

love it! I used tea to dye a white crocheted pillow cover. I like that effect so much better than plain dye.

Your trip sounds like so much fun! Your travel journal is beautiful and a great idea. I forget so many details if I don't write them down...

I like what you've created - although it reminds me of how much artistic ability and imagination I WISH I had!

Thank you for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2014/08/frooms-with-linky.html, and for including a link there to those you've visited today.

Pat, your little journal is wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing the process of making it. I'm wondering if the slideshow is a Blogger thing. It's the next best thing to a video.

FABULOUS! I was with you all the way till you got to the sewing machine part! It's gorgeous -- and I'm so excited for your upcoming trip. It will be such fun to hear more and see your photos -- and what that journal looks like when it is filled!
