A number of years ago, I made a series of small quilts which were framed and hung in my living room. These pieces have since been replaced by other framed art, but I kept the quilts just in case...now I'm very glad I did.
Cut up quilt to 3x3, add beads and charm, adhere to canvas frame.
Place on an easel and voila - it turned out just right!

That's absolutely lovely! You are just wonderful. Now that I'm doing better, giving back is a goal for my retirement times coming soon! It feels so good!

What a great idea to cut up the old quilt! Your new piece is wonderful and I'm sure the recipient was thrilled with it.
How cute! I wish I had a few like this in laying around piles. I have some minis, but they are traditional.
That is absolutely incredible! WOW.
Pat this is so cute!! Love the idea of repurposing something special...I have several old quilts that could be remade into some cute things. Love this one all decorated and on a little stand!
