On a recent trip to Elgin IL, I stayed at a hotel off the interstate. Behind it was an industrial park. It was the perfect place for a run in the early morning - no traffic! Surprisingly, there was a stretch of road surrounded by grassy lawns and beautiful flowering trees. I could hardly wait to get back to the hotel to fetch my camera. This photo was taken on Saturday morning. By Monday morning, all of the petals were gone. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!!

Interesting presentation of your photo of the flourishing tree, dear artful Tamara!
Regards from Germany, Uwe.
Beauty can be found everywhere , even in the most unexpected places. Very creative presentation of your photo.
So glad you grabbed the opportunity! Lovely petals.
I like the presentation of this tree branch as well. Glad you got the picture before all the petals were lost.
Fabulous pics of that tree!!

Cutest frame ever Pat! Beautiful.
Oh, a runner! I so admire women who do that...never have, although I've walked a lot Even that has taken a back seat to other things now. Back to the photo: those flowers are so unusual with the little black "accents." I'm glad you went back for photos.
Great image and love the stiched frame...
What a wonderful edit Pat. So much fun. I don't know if you saw my wisteria shots a while back, but the sam e thing happened. I was back to the sam e place a week later and the blossoms were all gone! I'm so glad I was there when I was to get those shots!
This is so pretty! And what a wonderful treat to find a spot like this so close to the highway. Glad you had your camera not too far from hand!
what a happy surprise to come up on such a beautiful bloom. glad you got this gorgeous shot!
I love these stitched frames!
It makes you feel really good to get a shot that is very soon gone! Lovely little blossom. I like the stitched frames, too. Where did you find it?
Lovely, and the frame and presentation is so creative!
How pretty. Wonder what type of a flowering bush it was. The blooms are so dainty.

Artful presentation of this lovely photo.
Oh what fun to find a little something while away from home. I'm a walker but also run a bit too.... I like the mosaic you framed your image with. Great work and so inspiring!
Good Day,

Lucky timing for you! Beautiful photo, as always!
How absolutely creative! Wonderful texturing, and the stitched panels look fabulous.
Love how you displayed it behind what looks like window panes. Very nice and such a pretty flower.
Beautiful and great presentation.
