"Sad Blue Eyes"
color pop and texture added
Both versions are dramatic. I prefer my original drawing mainly because the added texture and color pop warm the drawing up so much. What do you think?

I think I prefer the original, however the second very creative! Would love to meet sometime! Always enjoy my visits here.
I prefer the original as well, however, they are both lovely. I like the drawing.
I prefer the original drawing too. Very intense.
The original really gives emphasis to the blue eyes.
I think the cool feel of the original better conveys sadness. Very dramatic!
Wow...great drawing! I prefer the original because I tend to prefer "cool" colors, for some reason!
Wonderful illustration...I prefer the 2nd warmer one...just my taste for warmer instead of cooler. Both are lovely!!
Fabulous drawing, I love it! I think I prefer the first one too but they both look great. Beautiful.
I really like your original drawing. You are very talented. I'm lucky if I can draw a recognizable stick figure.
It's hard to chose. The first image is striking but the second image has warmth (color wise) to it. Would love to be able to draw. :0)
the blue of the eyes stand out more in the original drawing. so my fave is #1.
What a beautiful drawing! And I love the idea of adding texture to it. Creates a wonderful effect.
Love the eyes -- and those are so difficult to get right Pat!
Great Pop! I also enjoyed seeing your blog. Your drawings are fantastic. Your quilts are fantastic.
such a cool color pop. love the eyes.
So much emotion in your work, Pat. Wonderful. I prefer the original.
I really love the eyes in the 1st. Gorgeous!
A lovely drawing, Pat! Love those big blue eyes.
I too prefer your original drawing. the blues of the eyes pop and the cold tones match the somewhat sad face.
I like the original, too. Headed over to read about your project; I have one I'm doing, too. :)
I agree. I love the drama in the first (original) one.
I was tempted to go further into your blog postings. Love the daily/glass/bubbles....the colors, textures, concept, all very delightful. smiles: sharon
excellent Pat!
I prefer the original as well ~ the bluish eyes and the melancholy in them is more vivid in the original picture .., love the way you can capture feelings and moods in your drawings!
Lovely... I prefer the original drawing, the cool palette lends to the melancholy mood... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #69!
wow - those are pretty amazing!
They both are so good! The first one does really show off not only the eye color but the emotion behind them as well. So good!
I prefer the 2nd warmer one, but of course they are both wonderful Pat.
I think the Original is probably my favorite. It has a more serene feel to it that I find appealing.
Yes, I like the first because of the pop of the eyes. I wonder if a different blending mode with the texture would have retained more of what you like in your original.
Love that face!
Very "talking" piece of Art, great drawing.
What a beautiful drawing - the eyes say so much! I love the original the most...it's much more striking because the blue eyes (and red lips) really pop. Gorgeous!
just BEautimous, Pat!! wow!! such talent and reach...
These are absolutely amazing...
I prefer the original though they are both good. :-)
wow...beautiful art...can't make a wrong choice in choosing a favorite!
So lovely - both of them! The eyes are so expressive! xx
I prefer the second.
