The dashboard on a vintage1929 American La France fire engine located in Charlottetown, PEI. The tender loving care of this vehicle is evident. The STEEL parts glow. It's a beautiful piece of history!

look at all them knobs, that has to be a manual car, which i love!
the steel parts do shine.
Very clever of you to get this shot. Superb!
I love old cars and trucks...even better when they are not restored. Love the processing of the photo.
Loving the sheen on those steel parts!
That is so cool. They don't make fire engines like they used to.
That is a cool shot of what I'm sure is a very neat machine. I'd love to see the whole truck!
I jumped from Ziva's page to yours, and was immediately struck by the stark contrast of your photos -- her's monochromatic and lonely, yours fiery red and richly detailed. It's amazing the variety of photos that a single prompt can lead to, and I love yours. I love the worn and used yet well-maintained appearance of that dashboard, and the way in which it makes me want to see the rest of the truck.
Great work. :)
This photo is totally-super-awesome!
You have such a great eue to pick out the little details which make for spectacular photos.
There is a richness to this pic that cannot be described... from a different era. Things were made so much better years ago!
very cool shot!
This is pretty neat. Something you don't see often. I like it.
My god, that's a pretty photo! Where do you find these things??
awesome!
This is a great shot - so robust! And i love the shiny textures. I once used the front controls (cockpit?) of an old aeroplane as an artwork too. The controls made interesting design too.
Great shot!
Wow! Beautifully presented.
Gorgeous shot! I'd love to climb into that truck and take her for a spin.
I see the history from this red pain. It's been painted many times it seems. Cool photo for steel!
fun and wonderfully composed. I was remembering a bi-plane ride in Hawaii, for some reason, and that was fun!!!
Awesome photo. My Dad is an retired firefighter and I grew up loving fire trucks. American LaFrance was always one of my favorites.
A neat look at the past, and something most of us don't see, past or present. Nicely done! (Visiting from Weekly Top Shots.)
Looks well cared for! Great shot!
Awesome! Beautiful piece of history, indeed! =)
That indeed is truly beautiful. My son might be on the path to being a firefighter... I would love to know what all those switches are!
A little piece of history photographed beautifully!
It really does gleam with pride and care... Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #53!
Great image!
I love how the inside is red. You never see that anymore with cars.
