Texture Tuesday challenge is the word prompt "story".
This seemed an appropriate photo since I'm sitting on top of my mother's sewing machine cabinet. Now as an adult (a much older child really!) I spend my days sitting at my own sewing machine. I remember my mother saying to me (when I was naughty - moi - never!) "There was a little girl, who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very very good, but when she was bad, she was horrid".
I used Kim Klassen's texture "Scripted Edges" over top of a photo of myself as a child. "One Fine Day" frame from Digital Scrapper, font "Junko's Typewriter" and plug-in from Topaz Labs.

Hi Pat, that's a great effect with the photo - I remember my mum saying that rhyme to me!
A wonderful story and I love the finished work of art you've created, it's very well done :)
Oh, how I remember this quote Pat!!
This is a wonderful image, and how fortunate you are to have it.
Thank you for the memory, and for sharing with us today at The Creative Exchange.
Have a wonderful day!
lisa.
I used that same quote for my daughter...and now my granddaughter. Neither one of them likes it very much!
Just had a flashback after seeing your photo and reading your story...my mom use to say the SAME THING to me...and I was never bad either :)

Yes, every picture tells a story! Love your treatment of this sweet photo.
Lovely story and photo :)
Thank you for your visit and your kind comments. I love the way you changed that picture of the tram, very dramatic. Maggie

Hi, creative and excellent as usual. Love it! Do you enter your work anywhere?
Wonderful memories. Very creative. Hope you have a great day. ♥Winona
Visiting you from the hop at Katherine's Corner. My mom used to say the exact thing to me about the little girl with the curl! I was sure she didn't mean me, even though I had ringlet curls:)
I love making memories! I'm glad I found your blog..I'm a new follower, so stop by anytime, cause I love meeting new blog friends. Lori
Hugs! Thank you for your bloggy friendship and participation at Katherines Corner xo
just love your image here and hope that you are framing it for yourself. So cute and perfect way to finish it. My mom used to say that to me too! So remember that well! Just adorable!
How funny is this!! My mom used to always say this to me too...but she also gave me a beautiful hankerchief with that saying and a picture of a little girl on it! I've been wanting to frame it...but I forgot it was in the back of my drawer until NOW! Thanks for the reminder!!!
Love the imagination you have!
Such a fun and beautiful photo rendition. Yes, my Mom used to say that, also. Thanks for sharing your process, too. Karen (visiting from PAF)
Such a sweet photo, I love what you added.
What a fun piece. Very nostalgic and beautifully done.
How adorable - a masterpiece.
Lovely image and story, I really enjoyed visiting. Blessings
Suzanne
you were a sweet kid.
You have a lovely blog full of inspirational projects.
Thank you for your comment on my storage. You asked if Tisha has her own box. There is a cupboard with boxes of kiddie craft stuff in in the girls room. But mostly they prefer to play with mine. I'm tempted to simply merge the lot together and be done with it.
