Rosemarie - Now & Then

I thought I'd share this with you here today for Mother's Day.  I hope you have wonderful memories of your mother.

I made this quilt in 2004 for the "I Remember Mama" exhibit.  It took first place.  The quilt was exhibited all over the world.  My mother died January 22, 2005.  Unfortunately, she never saw the quilt, but I think she would have liked it.

Happy Mother's Day!

Go to Pink Saturday for more inspiration.

That is absolutely the most thoughtful quilt I have ever seen. I love quilts and have so many. Visited many quilts shows, but never have seen one that was so personal and so much time spent on it. What a master piece you have to treasure always.

You must be so very proud. I am sure your mother would also be very proud of her daughter and what she has accomplished. That is such a true talent and it's beautiful.
I tried to make a lap quilt years ago, all by hand. It was hard and took many hours to finish. Your talent is so special and I love to see your work. Congratulations on winning first prize, I am more than sure you deserved it. I am happy to know that your quilt has been seen by so many. It's appreciated for both what it stands for as well as your handiwork.
Happy Pink Saturday and a very special Happy Mother's Day, Char
