There are days when I would dearly love to have a small cabin near water, surrounded by mountains and have no one to answer to but me.

Added dimension to work by adjusting contrast especially in background; also worked on small details.  I'm calling this one finished.

Tall and skinny...

Trying a number of new things with oils today.  Draw with the brush; use a limited palette - red, yellow, blue and white...landscapes are not something I've tried before.  I thought it would be easier than portraits, but not so!  This is a work in progress - I've just got to step back for a while....

Working on the eyes - stressful to say the least!  Mulling over the eyebrows and, of course, she needs eyelashes!

Beginning of a new oil painting.  Underpainting this morning - trying out a new product Liquin by Winsor Newton.  It helps the paint to try quicker to enable me to add more layers tomorrow.

Artist and Sand Castle

Last Saturday while my husband and I were walking on the beach, we came across Ed Reed III an incredible sand artist.  Once I got home and looked at the pictures I took, I noticed the woman climbing a rock in the photo with Ed in it.  That would never do...

In Photoshop I carefully removed Ed from the top photo and placed him in the second picture.  The proportions of the castle in relation to Ed are a bit off, but all in all a good photo.
