I ordered a set of k-legs from Westchester Sewing Machine Co. The grey legs are perfect for my studio space - very industrial! (My dear husband, Richard, assembled the k-legs.) We called Jim Hall of Creative Cabinetry Corp. in Ft. Myers, FL to fashion a 20x60 formica piece for the table top. Jim then cut a 12x27 rectangle in the top and made a shelf (using the cutout) to hold the new sewing machine. (The new table setup cost approximately $225 - a good deal less than sewing tables I've seen on line which are much shorter in width.)
The metal drawer units are from Ikea. I store thread, machine accessories, etc. here.
One of the many features I like about the 7700 is the free arm. We placed the acrylic table top that came with the machine (sans legs) over the cutout. I simply remove the acrylic table top when I need to utilize the free arm - a real time saver. Before I had to haul out another sewing machine to do free arm sewing.
I just love my new set up and am looking forward to learning all the new features of the 7700. This is going to be sew much fun!

wow!what a set up!!!
good for you
I loved your zipper flowers but I REALLY love this machine and especially the sewing table you all created. It is to good to be true. I sew i my nice new and very large bathroom....yep, that is the truth. Then I have 3 more sewing machines placed all about the upstairs of this 110 year old farmhouse without any closets. And now I have gone a bought a 60 year old black Singer that weighs 35 pounds....and no table for it. It is going to be a quilters workhorse dream. It goes forward and backwards but that is it...oh, the length of the stitches can be varies, but there is only the one straight stitch. All of my OLD attachments from years ago fit it as well as all of the newer Brother ones. I an tickled and for 35.00 I think I got a steal. I am a happy camper but wish I had your table :-)
Love your blog, I came by way of Pink Saturday and I'm so glad I did. I don't sew much but I so appreciate the work of others, especially creative quilting. What a great new table for your machine, you'll enjoy that! I'm going to add you to my blog roll so I can continue to "lurk".
Pat -- well you are a happy camper aren't you all set up and stuff and I pea green with envy. I love to sew and want your workstation and equipment delivered to my door today. Kudos Terri PS thanks for the tips, I'll have to keep this in mind when setting up my next sewing station. www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com
I love those Ikea metal drawer units. I have the Janome Needlefelting machine and love it....but sew on my Babylock Esante that is now going on 12 year old but it sews and embroiders and it sews wonderfully...I know you are excited to have this new machine...it's a pretty thing! :0)
Happy Pink!
