Layering

Layering adds so much depth and interest to artwork - not only in photographs but drawings/paintings as well.

Three drawings each with two layers (so far!)

So far so good - more layering to follow!

Under Lock & Key...

Have you heard of love locks?  A local bridge in Prague is adjourned with countless locks. The bridge is just around the corner from the John Lennon Peace Wall.   The bridge and Peace Wall are located in the Castle District.  It took a while to find - but was well worth the effort.

Original photos taken in Prague.

cutting words

I'm cutting words up for a project I'm working on.  It's hard on my arthritic fingers - nobody ever said being an artist was going to be easy!

Greenway

Even though it was hot, hot, hot, my husband and I walked on the new Greenway Trail in Naples.  It's a beautiful place to wander...

Nerves of Steel...

My son-in-law, Warren, is an iron/glass worker.  On my recent visit to Chicago, my daughter, granddaughters and I took an architectural tour on the Chicago River.  We passed beneath Warren's building.  Even though I couldn't see him from the boat, I took a photo and found him once I enlarged the photo.  (The building was so tall, I couldn't get the whole thing in the photo from the boat with the lens I had with me.)

The guy is amazing - can you image working up so high?!

His building is the one behind the red crane
