Wide Open...

This funicular trolley takes one up a steep incline (approximately three blocks) to an upper level of Lisbon, Portugal. The door of the trolley is wide open - go on get in and let's take a look!  Up top there are marvelous gardens and cityscape views.

I used Kim Klassen's texture "confidence",  frame from Designer Digitals and postage brush over my original photo.

(Mouse over photo to see original)
View from the point where we departed the trolley.  Richard chose to ride the trolley down - me - I walked, of course!

Nice texture work, frame included to give that travel photocard look to it. Did you ask the person with reading the paper to pose or just get lucky? :) Wow, you have traveled to some neat places. would love to see the garden shots.

I like what you have done with the trolley. I love the fact that the trolley is such a vibrant color and how it contrasts with the background. Now, I like to walk, but if I saw a trolley like that one, I think I might just have to experience it! I could always walk the walk back down later!

Oh how ironic for ME that you posted these photos of Lisbon. The Better Half and I are currently in deep discussion and negotiations for our next trip. Lisbon is at the top of my list as well as some other areas of Portugal. Lovely photo and texture work.

I had never heard of funicular until I went to Europe. I'll have to see if that word is used anywhere in the US. Love the village shot.
