Flotsam, jetsam and then some...

I stumbled across this boat while on my beach walk this morning.  It was predawn when I started out.  I saw a large black blob of a shape on the beach.  It wasn't until I came quite near it that I realized it was a capsized sailboat.  The sun was coming up as I finished my walk and was headed back to my car.  Photos taken with my i-phone.

Texture and vignette added to my original photos.

I cannot help but wonder what happened? I mean sometimes you see boats stranded due to shifting tides, but this does not look like it. I hope everyone is o.k. It is a beautiful ship and I love your edit. Beautiful.

So why is a boat laying on it's side on a beach ... is this a sad story or a story of neglect? If only it could tell us why it is alone in a place where boats don't belong. Beautifully provocative ...
