All Good Things...

All good things must come to an end...I'm not sure why, but they do.

I love my shoe tree - but with our upcoming move, it was time to dismantle it.  We've had plenty of rain and while the shoes look good from a distance, close up one can see the weather has taken it's toll - colors faded and shoes quite dirty.  The tree created quite a buzz - lots of people wanted to know the back story.  Often I would look out the window and see people staring at it, scratching their heads while others took photos.  I'll miss that shoe tree of mine.

I doubt that I can decorate another tree in this fashion when we move - too many rules and regs in the new neighborhood.  I'll think of something...

Ha...that is fun! Not sure our neighborhood HOA would go for it tho. :)

Maybe you can find a loophole in the new neighborhood's rules and regulations that will allow you to put up another shoe tree :)

Pity about that -- I always liked your shoe tree. Can you have a garden? Perhaps you can turn it into garden art -- there MUST be a way for a creative woman like you to get around it all!

your new area sounds like our mobile home park. I'd love to hang my clothes outdoors, but no can do.

Oh, how I wish I could have seen the shoe tree! Art in the garden is my favorite! I'll look forward to reading about how you bring your creative spirit to life in your new home!

I haven't heard of a shoe tree before, maybe at your new place you can call it a sculpture?

I like what you did with all your shoes. The photograph is really nice.

Love the originality of the fact that you would come up with a shoe tree. Most do egg trees, Christmas lights outside on trees, yellow ribbons, etc. but I'm sure you will come up with something else that will delight us with your originality in your new neighborhood photography. :)

I like the jumble of shoes - the different styles, textures and colors.

I would have loved to see it in all its glory. Our neighborhood would be one of those rules and regs places.

a whimsical take on a holiday and the literal interpretation of a common phrase. Would love to see a full shot of it.
