Plein Air...

I love watching artists doing their thing outdoors.  While I spend many hours everyday in my studio, I rarely go outside to create art except for my photography, of course.

There were quite a few painters out on the boardwalk.  It was very interesting to see how each artist set up their easel and paints.

Original photo taken just outside of Charleston SC.

I love this photo. In fact, just about any time I can see a photo of art supplies I swoon. Go figure!

Beautiful photo, Pat. I, too, love watching artists doing their thing outdoors and spent a lot of time watching the painters in Montmartre during my weekend in Paris.

What a great shot...something beautiful about paint brushes and what they create at the hands of an artist! Happy Friday

I love this shot. I don't know why but i have such an attraction to paintbrushes. I don't even paint but I just love the way paintbrushes look and even more so when they are well used.

Not being an artist myself, it is fascinating the way they organize and how very talented that they are.

Wow, that looks really cool - I admire the artists working in the streets and open air - such a wonderful capture ... telling a story!

I admire anyone who does anything in public. Love the composition of your photo, would have liked to see what was created with those brushes.

I never did much painting outside either, except in a watercolor journal that I kept and carried a small metal box of colors and a couple brushes to go with it... Thank you for coming by sharing your creative photography on the Weekly Top Shot, #109!

Oh I could never be "creative" in "public" - I would be too nervous.

What a beautiful photograph Pat!

Great shot! I love all the wood, and the splashes of colour on the paintbrush handles.

It is exciting to watch a painter at work. I rarely paint outdoors except when I do workshops and I hardly use oil ;-)

I have to agree with Nancy, I don't think I could create if people were watching me...this photos is wonderful.
