A Stitch in Time...

On a recent trip to Elgin IL, I stayed at a hotel off the interstate.  Behind it was an industrial park.  It was the perfect place for a run in the early morning - no traffic!  Surprisingly, there was a stretch of road surrounded by grassy lawns and beautiful flowering trees.  I could hardly wait to get back to the hotel to fetch my camera.  This photo was taken on Saturday morning.  By Monday morning, all of the petals were gone.  Talk about being in the right place at the right time!!

Oh, a runner! I so admire women who do that...never have, although I've walked a lot Even that has taken a back seat to other things now. Back to the photo: those flowers are so unusual with the little black "accents." I'm glad you went back for photos.

What a wonderful edit Pat. So much fun. I don't know if you saw my wisteria shots a while back, but the sam e thing happened. I was back to the sam e place a week later and the blossoms were all gone! I'm so glad I was there when I was to get those shots!
