Weathered Wood

Mother Nature has a way of weathering wood that makes the ordinary extraordinary.  She is not as kind to the human face, however!

Original photos taken at the beach on Naples Bay.

This wood is quite wonderful -- seems to tell such a story, such texture.

Gorgeous textures. I wish our society could learn to love and appreciate the markings and "age rings" upon the human flesh as well.

Probably nothing weathers wood the way water does. Beautiful captures.

These images are fantastic, Pat. I especially love the first one ... something about the arrangement of the wood bits and the beach behind. Thanks so much for joining Walk and Click Wednesdays!

That first one is a gorgeous image!! It's one of those where I think 'I wish I'd taken that!'

I love weathered wood. Combined with a seascape, it's timeless and soothing. Love it.
