For Medicinal Purposes Only...

No beer in these FIVE medicinal bottles on the pharmacy wall - although I've found that a shot of whiskey can be a good cure-all!

I considered adding texture to this photo, but decided against it.  I love the way the glass sparkles, don't you?

Photo take in Sherbrooke Village, Nova Scotia

Even just the light on the table... Just beautiful. Your words about this really made me stop to look at the details!

The bottles are so pretty but I loved reading the labels!

I can just imagine those of us photo challenge ladies of a certain age, sitting around with our bottles of "elixir". I'm sure that's what was in those bottles!

Yes, you were right on in not adding texture to this. It is perfect just the way it is - love the sparkle.

Great pic. Love those old bottles. I think it was Kris Kristofferson who once said, "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

Great photo -love the old medicine bottles. You might want to look for a new pharmacist, though...

Beautiful bottles! I have to ask, though, did MikeWJ get to them before you did? I'm just curious since half the content is missing. ;)

Beautifully vintage. Sometimes we have to know when to leave well enough alone! Thanks for sharing with Photo Art Friday.

Yes, those look like whiskey bottles. Pretty photo!

Love the bottles and a good shot of whiskey could be used medicinally for a bit of inspiration. Valerie

Love that photo and I'm glad you wouldn't change a thing. Sometimes stopping is the best move! Know when to fold 'em!

Very nice! And my husband would agree with you on the whiskey!

Looking at this marvelous photos of those wonderful old bottles (I have a collection myself) and seeing that they're half empty, I'm starting to remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the third week of November, 1982. And sincerely hope nobody finds the body.

Some of the names of these "meds" sounds like poison.

That is an AWESOME photo. Wow. I'm glad you chose NOT to add texture, because the sparkly glass is truly lovely!

Those bottles are awesome and so is the photo. I love the "glass" showing like it does, shine and all!

Great collection of old apothecary bottles. I'm glad you opted not to add texture. They've got such great texture already, why mess with something this beautiful?

I do love how the glass sparkles and how the bottles stand out so well against the swirly wallpaper. I wouldn't mind a little shot of whisky right about now...for purely medicinal purposes, of course.

BEautiful capture and I so agree with the less is more or, well, certainly enough is enough. The bottles inspire imagination.
