Funny Girl

I like to make dolls out of odds and ends. I've got a nice collection of vintage child-size shoe forms which make great feet. The legs are wooden textile spools which I've cut down and painted. The face is made of fabric, needle sculpted and painted. I drew the hands on Shrinky Dink plastic. The shoulders are made from an old Japanese ruler; arms are chopsticks (cut to size) that I bought on a recent trip to Chicago. The body and crown are made of upholstery fabric.
Here's a detail shot of the face. She's painted like a clown. I made her wings using the Sunday comics - thus the name Funny Girl.
