There are a few old railroad cars at The Depot in Naples, FL - I don't know the back story of this particular piece of history. It would have been quite an adventure traveling by rail in it...out west perhaps?

Love old trains and this is an excellent capture.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing trains of any age. Enjoy your perspective.
ReplyDeleteI love old trains and old railroad cars. I think they all tell a story...
ReplyDeleteI love trains. This is fittingly done in black and white. (Also, if my toddler were at the computer we would be talking trains for the rest of the day).
ReplyDeleteLove the retro look so evocative...
ReplyDeleteIf railroad cars could only talk and tell us all the stories of it's travels and the people it transported, I bet it would have enough for a book or two. Your image looks great! Love the BW and the reflection.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!!

ReplyDeleteNice b & w. I like the reflections captured in this shot. My Blessing and I did travel by train from east to west and it was an adventure.

Railways always conjure up images of days gone by as you don't hear much about passenger travel by train much anymore. I love that you put the shot in BW. It gives it such a vintage feel.
ReplyDeleteLove the retro! Would be a great place for a photo shoot.
ReplyDeleteTo travel like that must have been so much fun! Great in b/w.
ReplyDeletePat, this car and the dome car were always my favorites to ride in. This one had the curved back windows and as kids we loved to sit "backward" and watch out the back as everything disappeared into the distance. Our family traveled only by train, to California, Colorado, Texas, and New York. Such fun. I LOVE your old train shot! Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteI love traveling by train -- I bet this one is terrific!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Love the reflection. It would be nice to travel that way now.
ReplyDeleteHow very lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow fun it use to be to take a trip by rail. Our depot is no longer in my hometown, but a train museum now. Miss those days. Very nice photo memory..thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love the reflection, and it works so well in b&w.
ReplyDeleteI always had this romantic notion of traveling on a train until my son and I did a 24 hour trip on Amtrak. The ride wasn't bad, just the frigid temperatures in our travel car which apparently the stewart could not adjust. (and it was mid-summer). Fascinating find - I especially like the shape of this rail car.
ReplyDeleteMy daddy is a third generation railroad man. Trains are in our blood. Love this shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing picture- thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI really like this shot. Love the perspective and the reflection captured in the window. And it works really well in black and white.
ReplyDeleteLovely black and white!
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition, especially in black and white.
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about trains!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Love old rail cars.
ReplyDeleteNice shot especially in black & white.
ReplyDeleteLove the mirrored image in the background. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beatiful train and great in B&W!
