A hungry pelican...

The pelicans are large and plentiful at the Naples Dock.  This big guy was eyeing the fisherman's catch - very intent was he!

The fisherman had to shoo the pelicans away - who were obviously hoping to get a free meal.

    He is cute! I once saw a pelican take a boy's fishing pole off the pier and into the ocean. Luckily someone close grabbed the pole for the boy.

    I have never seen a pelican up close either. Saw some at a distance while in Nantucket once.
