Hard Labor...

I took loads of picture in Immokalee, a farming community in Collier County Florida.  The settlement was originally known as Gopher Ridge.  (The etymology of the name appears to mean either "My Home" or His Home".)  The is a hard working community.  Can you imagine how exhausting it must be to spend your day bent over picking tomatoes!

As a former strawberry picker in the summer, it isn't fun! But it is an honest living.

  13. Hi again, Pat!
Re: your question about sun spots affecting the net: it is not exactly the internet energy but the PEOPLE working the net that is affected ;-)

Now if you feel 'cranky' while online blame it on the atmospheric 'wild energy' affecting ALL of us and take it in stride (laugh if you must) and don't take everything seriously. For now that is. ;-) This will soon pass...

  14. I loved this...yes, farm labor is back breaking I'm sure. We just take it for granted when we purchase items in the store, without thought of this, right?

And I must know...how did you do this mouseover image thingie? I love it!!!!!!!!
