Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coastline in Italy located on the Ligurian Sea.  It consists of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.  To get from one town to the other one must either walk the trail or take the train.  We chose to walk the trail when we were there in 2006.

This week's Texture Tuesday challenge is to use one of Kim Klassen's textures with any photo.

I used Kim's "Break Free" texture and Frame 12 from the Coffee Shop Blog.

  15. Ah this brings back memories we were here in 2009 Spring and we loved Cinque Terre. We stayed 2 nights in Monterossa and took the boat to Riamagorria I have wanted all my life to see this coastline, well as long as I can remember anyway and we walked a vineyard trail to the top of a really steep cliff and looked out over the ocean perfection. Then we walked the Lover's Walk and sipped wine on the edge of the cliffs over the ocean what an experience. I love this shot and the texture works really well with it

  26. Hi Pat,

Thank you for the comment on my Ball Mason Jar pictures. I'm new to blogging, photography and textures. I love your pictures of Italy and the mouse over on the flowers is very cool. I would ask you how to do it, but I would be biting off more than I can chew right now.

You have a lovely blog and I look forward to following you.
