Back at the sewing machine...

Working on this new art quilt has been slow going - finally at the stage where I have begun machine quilting.  (It's a challenge to take a photo with Apple watch!!)

Flowers in Her Hair....

Painted the empty space for flowers with a darkish neutral gray, using palette knife added flower petals.  I need to practice loading a palette knife - it's very confusing to me!

Leaving room for flowers...

Touched up a few places.  Oil paint sticks used to add hair...once set up, I'll attempt to add flowers with a palette knife - wish me luck!

Still working at it...

Continuing to work on this piece...long way to go, but I'm happy with what I've accomplished thus far.
