Reflections of love...

A dear friend of mine gave me a beautifully scented bar of soap.  The wrapping is so luscious, I can't bear to open it.  It will sit on a little shelf in the guest bathroom - the scent is sweet and light.

I attended a DPI-SIG women's workshop last week.  Christina Skibicki gave a talk on how she edits/alters some of her photos.  She also demonstrated how she made reflections of birds in water.

My method is a little different from Christina's, but generally the same.

  6. I can't open little soaps that look good and smell good, like to keep them so they can continue to delight. I really like your digital art, especially the little reflection.

  12. Thanks for the tutorial :) I wouldn't be able to use the soap, either. I'd but it in my underwear drawer and let the smell go through my clothes then I enjoy it vicariously.

  13. I have one in my bathroom I got at Christmas. I keep it wrapped with just a tiny opening to allow the scent to escape. Nice shot.

  15. Lovely soap is a treasure. A simple pleasure well worth the effort and money spent.

There are two local ladies that make soap out of goat's milk and sheep milk. I often send it to family or friends as a gift. Everyone who has received it loves the soap, fragrance and beautiful shapes they ladies make.
