Plein Air...

I love watching artists doing their thing outdoors.  While I spend many hours everyday in my studio, I rarely go outside to create art except for my photography, of course.

There were quite a few painters out on the boardwalk.  It was very interesting to see how each artist set up their easel and paints.

Original photo taken just outside of Charleston SC.

  11. Not being an artist myself, it is fascinating the way they organize and how very talented that they are.

  14. I never did much painting outside either, except in a watercolor journal that I kept and carried a small metal box of colors and a couple brushes to go with it... Thank you for coming by sharing your creative photography on the Weekly Top Shot, #109!

  24. It is exciting to watch a painter at work. I rarely paint outdoors except when I do workshops and I hardly use oil ;-)
