Vintage Lamp...

I would dearly love to own a vintage oil lamp like this - one never knows when a storm will shut off our lights!

My original photo taken in Sherbrooke Village, Nova Scotia.

"Blue Missive," "Lost and Found," and  "Antique Me" textures courtesy of Pixel Dust Photo Art - I used all 3 of these delightful textures!  Layer mask to each texture layer added to protect the glass reflection.

Of course I would be a nervous wreck that old lamp would burst into flames!

  9. Way to go using all 3 textures. They worked so well with this lamp image. So artistic. I like the torn piece in the wall paper too.

  15. Beautiful. I love old housewares like this. I have a little collection of miniature lamps but not a large one. Well, I have a modern large one, but not a real old vintage lamp.

  24. We had a couple of these when my kids were little and we were living in a small country village. The power went out often and I was always grateful for the oil lamps. Lovely editing and thanks for stirring some memories.

  27. My grandmother's old hurricane lamp is filled with a red oil. This photo reminds me of the time when it was used back in the day.
