One Picture is Worth 1000 Words

I found this railroad crossing sign on a walk through a neighborhood in Deland, FL.  I have no idea where the railroad tracks might be!

  2. Itty bitty baby tracks for a child's train, perhaps? Or only in the owner's mind!

  7. Maybe they took a drive out into the country and stole the sign. Anyway, Ive always been a big fan of these old railroad signs. Great capture and to see it in the middle of someone's yard is even better.

  15. Pat, this made me giggle ... a perfect ending to a good day! Won't someone be surprised if a train were to barrel through one day? ;-> Thanks for visiting Walk and Click Wednesday!

  16. Great texture work and I love the subject matter! My husband is a retired rail engineer but don't think this could live in our yard. Great find though!

  17. Okay, I'll try again and hope this time Wordpress is accepted!
You have a wonderful, creative blog! My mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were quilters. I did a few wall quilts but then discovered making "wall doll" of quilters, gardeners, writers, and peasants for my closest friends. Finding your blog was a wonderful surprise!
