For 32 years we had a drive-in movie theater in Naples. Actually it was a flea market and drive-in theater. It's been 6 years or more since it was torn down ... sigh. The Boys and Girls Club of Naples was built on the site.
I can remember as a teenager piling into someone's car and going to a late show. $5 for a car load of people - what a deal! It was so much fun - eating popcorn, drinking large Cokes and watching car windows steam up! (I wonder what they were doing...)
The little roadster is not truly a Truly car, but I saw it in the parking lot at Michael's one day and just knew it would enjoy this movie too.
(I spent way more time than I had planned composing this collage!)

How about you - any drive-in theaters nearby?
Oh how I miss Drive-in theaters. Sigh!! Last one around here was 18 years ago or so. I miss them.
ReplyDeleteWish they would come back.
Great piece by the way!

Oh, how I miss drive ins! They are few and far between now. I think I may have seen my first movie at the drive in. Lovely piece! Fun!
ReplyDeletedrive ins are fun...
ReplyDeleteGood to see the Trulies enjoying themselves as the movies! I can see why this took you a long time. Doing digital collages is totally addicting. I'm 64 now, but when I was a kid, my folks would take me and my sister to the drive-in theater. I never got to go to one with a date, though....
ReplyDeleteGosh, that brings back fun memories.
